PODERE SAPAIO
Massimo Piccin founded Podere Sapaio in 1999 with the intent to experiment and innovate: searching for new expressions of Bordolese vines in Bolgheri, to produce wines that are strong, elegant and long lasting at the same time.
The crown symbol is a tribute to the nobility of wine and the valuable work of winemakers in the vineyard and in the cellar.
These wines have won Massimo international recognition. The estate of Podere Sapaio is located on a picturesque 100 acre estate in Tuscany.
The growing areas are located over old flood deposits and consist of coarse sandy beds and draining calcareous soils. On this soil Podere Sapaio cultivates the Bordeaux varieties, such as Cabernet Franc and Merlot, that have elevated their wines to international acclaim.
